Just made my longest streak of a lowly 29.

The brilliance required to create a grid like this makes me want to hide under a rock.

I'm wide awake, so no excuses, but maybe it's the lack of coffee, or 18 hours on the road yesterday, but I struggled with this one. More than doubled my Monday average. Very nice puzzle and congrats on your first!

Too much thinking required before coffee or getting out of bed. My dog urged me to use autocheck on this one so he could get breakfast and a walk. I liked the theme and think this type of puzzle should come up more often, just with a warning to let the dog out first and to caffeinate.

This was a great Saturday solve and I loved the grid. Great job constructor. Earl Sweatshirt...really? Will Duke Pajama be next?

Wow. Yesterday, I hoped that today would be harder for me and give me more chew. So many terms I didn't know! (And a candle I've been calling by the wrong name for my entire life.) I love vocabulary expansion days!

Not what I want for a Sunday puzzle. This was not my favorite week in general. Other than the magnets pulling the words in, what's the connection between the animals in those clues? I feel like something clever could have been used to connect them.

I really enjoyed today's puzzle and was very proud to crush my best Saturday crossword time. Realizing today is Friday was a bit of a let down. I think I'll go back to bed now, it's only 4:40am here.

This was a very tough one for me, even after a cup of coffee. I got my gold star but it should really be bronze. I had to do a little research, twice, after getting hopelessly stuck. For me, this was a Saturday plus puzzle but a fun little chew before sunrise nonetheless.

My fill time was about my average to complete a Friday puzzle. I'm not going to mention the 10 extra minutes it took me to find one typo. A cood sort may have pointed it out to me sooner, or at least told me to put my glasses on. Goodnight all.

Excellent and quick Thursday puzzle. Really fun. OLAJUWON??? Had to Google who/what that was! (And I confused the name in the clue with Abdul-Jabbar.) Sports trivia, I'll lose every time.

I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle and give lots of credit to the creators. I understood the theme at 36 across. Creating a puzzle like this has to be a labor of love. I also love that java/mud was tied in to today's connections game.

A lot of hate for this puzzle? Really? I never read anything about a crossword before I solve it, fear of spoilers. When I saw the bonus answers and clues, I found it to be really clever. Well done. This took my average time to fill the puzzle then an absurd amount of time (15 extra minutes) to find my typos. I was getting so frustrated I almost used the check feature. It's really unfortunate when your typo creates two properly spelled and common crossword words.

Well, I didn't wait for lunch to tackle it again. I canceled my first appointment of the day to continue on. Coming in at 125% over my average time, gold star acquired. I feel beaten, betrayed, and duapplemb. (I know that doesn't work but my brain is broken.) Canceling my next few appointments, pouring a stiff drink, then curling up under a blanket until I recuperate.

After every solved puzzle I do two things, I clear the board and solve it again then I look at how long it took Rex to solve it. I do the first to reinforce answers with clues. I do the latter to torture myself.

Only a little over my average time. The southeast corner tripped me up a little. After yesterday's solve taking over twice as long as normal for me, today was fun. General question, is it normal for Thursday/Friday/Saturday solve times to be about the same? Those days each average about 21 minutes for me.
