This was a brilliant puzzle, although the comments section is exactly what I expected.
I didn’t even realize the “digital” twist until the very end. What a cool puzzle!
This puzzle was a blast! And it reminded me that this is my Chinese zodiac year!
One of my slowest Saturday finishes at 73 minutes, but I enjoyed the challenge. Clever clues and interesting answers.
Got through it fast, but was endlessly delighted along the way.
@Atavistic Cringeworder NOR is literally a negative Boolean function.
An absolutely stunning accomplishment. I’m in awe.
Brilliant puzzle. And I was even more impressed when I learned that the circled squares could be EITHER double-lettered or empty. I had assumed that you had to choose one or the other. Quite a trick to pull off — kudos.
Finally broke 5 minutes. Probably could get below 4 minutes if I could type more accurately on a smartphone keyboard.
Even though this was a fast solve, absolutely fantastic words and clues! This was a delight.
Impressive puzzle! I love me some good logical-fallacy terminology. 37-min solve.
I really hate puzzles like this.
Didn’t think that I would finish this. Finally made that breakthrough that got the ball rolling. Really impressive puzzle.
Delightful! Almost hit a new personal best thanks to figuring out the theme quickly.
Honestly didn’t think that I would be able to complete this. Stepped away for a while, and the answers came to me when I returned.
One of the hardest puzzles in a while. On my birthday, naturally. This brought my average time up a bit.
So impressive, and lots of fun!
@CCNY I got hung up in the same place, except I had LEON. Sure, an Egyptian goddess of war would totally turn into some guy named Leon.
Personal best! 4:28. I think that I can crack 4 minutes if I can stop fat-fingering my smartphone keyboard.
@Xword Junkie Corre Agreed. NOR tests for whether all inputs are “negative” (false).
@Dana G. Numerals aren’t used in NYT crossword puzzles, and also wouldn’t have made sense in this case, anyway.
Finished in 20, but this was delightful.
77 minutes. Just glad to have finished it. Super hard but a fun challenge.
An incredible achievement of a puzzle. Surprised that I completed it in 19 minutes. Got lucky.
@Michael Words don’t become palindromes by switching the first and last letter. They would have had to be the same letter in the first place.
Personal best for a Thursday puzzle! 14 minutes flat. This was a lot of fun!
Wow, that was a tough one. Seriously thought that I might have to throw in the towel, but finally got the ball rolling after about 35 minutes of head scratching.
Fun puzzle. Personal Sunday best at 27:30!
The example of a Greek palindrome is not a palindrome. Perhaps a typo in there?
