I've heard yammer, I've heard jabber, but I've never heard yabber. Spent a couple minutes rechecking that area before realizing YABBER was right and my error was with TORN instead of TORE. Oh well got it eventually!

I thought the puzzle was tough but fair. My only quibble is that UH OH is 2 words (or at least, not an actual word, maybe an utterance?) So I was stuck on OOPS for far too long. Super satisfying to start with almost no gimmes and watch it all fall slowly into place.

This one took me way too long, mostly due to me trying to force DEEPTROUBLE in place of DIRESTRAITS. Oh well. I also really wanted LEOTARD in place of UNITARD. Pretty proud that IAMBIC came to me right away, at least. Great puzzle overall

Oof that was a rough one. I can't take issue with it, amazing clever cluing and legit words. Google is my friend/teacher on puzzles like this.

OOF this was rough! Even understanding the gimmick of stolen letters, some of the fill makes nonsense words, which felt wrong. I see what was done but I just didn't enjoy the result. Oh well, not every puzzle is for everyone!

@Rick It's not a slur, some people just like to get offended about nothing. It literally means same side, as trans means opposite side.

Loved it, knew there would be grumbling in the comments about rebuses on a Wednesday. As far as rebuses go, this was a pretty easy one. Fun puzzle, fair clues.

For some reason "dum-dum" made me think of the Law and Order sound effect so it stumped me for a bit. Sometimes I'm kind of a dum-dum myself lol

@B Sundays are the biggest puzzles of the week, but not generally the hardest imo. I didn't find this one particularly tricky, maybe it was just in my wheelhouse.

I enjoyed this puzzle, and solved it in my usual Thursday time range. I look forward to the tricky gimmicky Thursday puzzles. Clever how each pair of ei/ie was used both ways.

I wanted to put UNICORNS for NARWHALS as I deduced the meaning of the name. I figured fantasy creatures don't typically have scientific names. I guess a narwhal is a kind of unicorn.

I'm sad to report that the drop tower video in the column is fake. I went to YouTube to see it better and the real ride is nothing like the video according to people who've been. The puzzle was great, I enjoyed seeing "haterade" and "respawn"

Thanks to my kids' enjoyment of Phineas and Ferb, I'll never forget what an aglet is. Hard ish puzzle for me. Til what sal soda is. And that Sosa isn't the only Slammin' Sammy. Always loved the "Headless..." headline.

Good puzzle, if not as hard as a typical Thursday for me. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to understand ACUNIT was not new word I haven't heard, but an AC UNIT. Lol

Excellent work, especiallyfor such a young constructor. I tend to mix up European rivers and therefore spent way too long wondering what a FORETRAP could be. Oops.

Wow, what a feat of construction! I didn't get what was happening, partly because I'm solving on my phone and my eyes ain't what they used to be. I didn't perceive turnable locks. But that's on me. I solve a lot of these puzzles without getting the gimmick. My only quibble is DAM. I had jAM and without a cross on the first letter I was stuck. Oh well a fun time anyway.

Fun Monday puzzle. I sometimes wonder how many times Brian Eno's name has appeared in crossword puzzles. He's probably more known by crossword solvers than musicians at this point. (Not criticizing the constructors, they are way smarter than I am. Just a thought)
