@Ace sorry i genuinely have no idea how someone could solve this whole puzzle and not be impressed by it lol
@Sophie B. It does. People say something is "lit" when something is exciting, entertaining, fun/high energy similar to how "happening" was used in the past.
Weird one for a Monday, not gonna lie
Enjoyed this puzzle. The challenge level hit a sweet spot for me where it wasn't about know-it-or-you-don't clues and there were a number of points of access for these answers
Once again, it would be helpful to have this looked over by someone who is familiar with slang and modern vernacular BRUH for "Dude!" does not make any sense
@Vaer We do words, not math here lol
what is going on with this week's puzzles lol
One of the puzzles of all time
@Kimiko tbh i don't know how to read music and didn't understand any of the theme answers until i read this column. i also don't believe having heard music in my life gave me any kind of advantage, again, because i do not know how to read music and don't know what any of that notation stands for lol. it's a disadvantage but i would say not a necessarily unique one for deaf people
CAB IT can't be a real thing, come on now be serious lol
rebus didn't land for me. an explicit revealer was not necessary for the solve, but i think it would have made it more enjoyable
NEHI as a "classic soda brand" was a little wild to me given that a 70 year old is not likely to remember the RC or Dr Pepper brand as Nehi
i dunno about this one. it didn't seem clever to me that the theme word was "sign" which was used in the clue, rather than the actual answer. there was nothing about the circled spaces that connect to "yes" at all, and the fact that they were all signs didn't really add anything to the puzzle imo.
@Diane As in bearing a baby. It's in the tricky clues section of this column
@Alex had the same thoughts about the same exact sets of clues you mentioned
@Robert I had issues with this as well. I checked it against the answer key and couldn't find anything wrong. I had the rebuses filled out, so I went back and cleared them, and it gave me the solve after I cleared out 3 of them. Not really sure what the problem was...
@Jessica agreed, was not a satisfying solve imo
@ray Anyone under 45 probably could have told them the same thing tbh
