Sean

My daughter completed her first NYT crossword today with no hints! I’m a proud crossword dad :] :]

This one caught me off guard! Mondays are typically just a “how fast can I do it” day, but wasnt setting any PBs with this one, lol

My last letter was the H in AHNOLD. It cracked me up because I guess we all say it that way, but it still surprised me that it was the answer. I can’t explain why, almost like i wasn't sure if it followed the clueing rules….? Or something? Anyway, loved the puzzle!

Thursdays are my favorite. This one did not disappoint! So fun, so clever.

Yet another fun puzzle, after so so so many other fun puzzles. I love crosswords! I always look forward to it.

Very clever theme, great job, Joe!

Very hard, very fun, very satisfying to finish… the perfect Saturday!

My favorite Sunday in a long time! Such a clever theme. Great work!

Loved it, fun and clever!

Wow, that was a tough one, very surprised to have finished it. Fun challenge.

Fun Saturday! That I in mItes and tilsIn almost broke the streak. Honestly can’t believe I got that. Definitely an evil Saturday clueing for MITES lol

Loved this puzzle! The ROYALFLUSH clue was very clever, and the POD clue had me stumped. I finished but that clue never did sink in until this article. Fun and satisfying solve.

Loved the theme. That E in gestE/Elberta got me.

Difficult and satisfying puzzle, super fun and I loved the theme! I have used Problem One to describe someone that is a problem, as in “he’s a problem one”.

This was such an impressive construction. Very dense answers and zero naticks or obscure names

That was so clever! Fun puzzle, loved it. I first heard of kewpie dolls in an old video game called The Secret of Monkey Island. No idea how that was still in my brain haha.

New Saturday record although I think we’ll probably have a few of those with today’s crossword. Very happy to see Montessori in there!

Fun puzzle! Got a little hung up in the HAULUP/PALAU area. Was tough for a tuesday, but I am always hoping for a harder mon/tue/wed :)

Loved it! I didnt get the trick with 9 across, but the down clues were easy enough to not need.

500 bonus points for including ZORK, one of my favorite games growing up! Made the puzzle for me, very fun!

This was a tough one. I had so many letters in “pencil” (grey ink) when it finished. It always feels good to get a Saturday though! I Really loved it. The “plant matter?” clue feels a bit iffy, but hey, its saturday, so anything goes!! :) :)

Nice and difficult Saturday, very fun puzzle. I wasn't sure I would finish, but was pleasantly surprised when I did! I also knew there would be at least one “well, that does it, I am officially unsubscribing!” rant, lol.

Almost my PB for a Saturday, missed it by a minute. Fun puzzle! I had never heard of OGALLALA, that was really the only slowdown.

Wow, that was a close one for me! I really thought the streak ended here, but somehow I got the jingle.

Loved it! Thank you

LOVED the theme!! That was so fun and clever. Honestly one of my favorites. My only minor complaint was the cluing on TATS. Thank you for a fun puzzle 🤘

For the app users curious on how to enter the answers to make it “go”, you have to actually swap the names making the horizontal answers “incorrect”. If you have the names so that the vertical clues are “incorrect” it will not solve. Had me stuck for 20 minutes until I swapped them. Usually Thursday gives you mulitple ways to make it work.

How does snatch = bag. I filled it but i dont understand that clue.
