Lovely Tuesday solve -- extends my current streak to exactly five years. This subscription was one of the smartest buys of my life. Thanks for all the fun!

Terrific puzzle -- no better way to celebrate my sixtieth birthday than by beating my Friday average by six minutes! Well done!

Today is a milestone day for me -- my streak reached 2,000 days with this puzzle. I just wanted to drop by to thank all the constructors, editors and great people that make this place what it is. Have a wonderful week ahead!

This might be one of my very favorite NYT puzzles ever. Diabolical to solve but done in three minutes under my average. Thank you for a truly excellent theme.

Just to note: having actually covered sled dog racing in a prior live in television, MUSH is not used as a command for sled dogs. GEE and HAW are used for left and right, and HIKE is used for forward.

Kudos to Mr. Lieberman. This was an excellent and very fair test for me -- took longer than my average, but this was a creative puzzle and a fun challenge. Well done.

Once the theme of the puzzle hit me over the head, this was a really fun solve. Clever idea, very creative -- well done!

One of the most enjoyable Thursday solves I've had in a long time. Thank you!

Just wanted to chime in here to thank Mr. Schiff -- this was one of the hardest Sunday puzzles I've ever had to solve but at the same time it was an extremely fair test of my ability. Finishing this one in two hours over my average makes me feel like I've really accomplished something. Thank you and well done.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed this particular puzzle. I noticed a lot of new entries and I thought it was very clever. About 15 seconds over my average time and this one was a real pleasure to solve. Thank you.

Not my cup of tea, but a challenging solve nevertheless.

Clever concept but a comparatively easy solve for me. Just over twenty minutes, ten minutes under average. I've never seen a puzzle that looked quite like this one, though. My mind loves symmetry so I enjoyed this puzzle quite a bit. Well done.

Need to mention: MUSH is not a sled dog command anywhere except in the comics. The three main commands are GEE, HAW and HIKE (for left, right and start). Otherwise a fun solve.

Clever puzzle, but this is Exhibit A why I don't care for rebuses. I'm getting up in age, have cataracts, solve online, and I routinely have to double check all my answers to make sure the slashes are in the right place, and since you can't really size up the puzzle to make that easier (on my browser, the clues enlarge to a size greater than the puzzle), it adds up being a pain in the maguffies. Still, a fun solve -- I don't want to be a complete Negative Nancy.

I don't want to be that guy, but when the theme of the puzzle is in itself a play on words, that's a little off-putting to me. This was a 14-minute solve for me, which is actually under my average, but it didn't feel like it.

Fun solve, but in the interests of accuracy, PURGATORY should be listed as a stop in the Catholic afterlife, since it's a bone of contention with Protestants.

Just a couple of things from an unusually pedantic solver (maybe it's a Monday mood): 1) The plural of Run Batted In (RBI) is not RBIS. It is Runs Batted In, which remains RBI. 2) Though I get the idea, George W. Bush is not George H.W. Bush, so the elder Bush is not "BushSr."

My compliments to the designer. This was a really fun solve, very fair and even had a Dad-joke theme. Very enjoyable. A 25-minute solve for me, about six minutes under my average. Well done.

Odd. I completed the puzzle in less than my average time without ever figuring out the theme.

I really enjoyed this one. A fun and entertaining challenge, groaning puns and two minutes under my average. Tip of the cap to the constructors.

This was a really enjoyable solve and very clever. Congratulations to all -- just over nine minutes for me today. Thanks!

Yes, it was easy by comparison to most Sundays, but I don't mind that every once in a while. Set my all-time Sunday record today of 12:11.

I like a rebus puzzle as much as I like a colonoscopy, but this was a challenge. 32 minutes isn't great for me, but it is what it is.

Just a quick note: Mr. T wasn't a wrestler-turned-actor, he was an actor-turned-wrestler.

Clever and creative, but a classic example of why I don't care for rebus puzzles. I'm diabetic and my eyes get tired at night and having to type in I/O and then have to go back through all eight rebus squares to enter PHI so I can get the solve means I'm using a lot of smaller letters that are harder to read for me. This one took me just over half an hour, which is within thirty seconds of my average, but it would have been quicker (and easier on the eyes) to not have to guess what variant the digital version needs to finish the puzzle.

Good themes, but this one seemed to play to my strengths. Finished in 18 minutes, 13 under average. And great to see David back on a Sunday.

Fun solve, but this is (one thing) that annoys me about rebus puzzles. I entered HOLE where the Os should have gone and got an error message. And, as I have noted many times before, the plural of "runs batted in" is not "run batted ins", or RBIS, but "runs batted in", which is still plain old RBI.

And of course, I was so excited I substituted "hours" for "minutes" in my first post. It took me 33 minutes to finish this, which is two minutes over my average and I loved it.

Fun puzzle, but this is where I come in and remind constructors that the plural of RUN BATTED IN (RBI) is not RUN BATTED INS (RBIS) but RUNS BATTED IN (also RBI).

This was one that I solved without getting the theme until the very end. As such, the end was a struggle. A 27-minute solve for me, under my average but for some reason the BLOCK didn't occur to me until the last three squares. I consider myself a little fortunate today.
