@Mike As long as you espresso remorse, all is forgiven. Even by the emus
@Cat Lady Margaret We could dress alike, but then I would just be a CARBON COPY. Do emus wear clothes or just hair shirts?
@John Someone wants to make Toronto the third largest tech hub in America...that's not cool.
@Mike For a second there you had me going, but I caught on after a minute. I've got to hand it to you, Mike.
@Pezhead I tried those for a while, but couldn't remember to take them.
@TMD Make that 3...helps to live there!
@Mike Any eyes on a new job?
@BB I am oh so excited that the weekend is here! I am super-duper excited that the weekend is here! This is oh so disturbing to the super-duper large emu.
Must have been on the same wavelength as the constructor today...it was like I had a crystal ball revealing the answers.
@B Evidently you haven't attended a baseball game (or any sporting event) for the last 60 years. Hats off to you!
@B I don't know. I'm only Seventeen, but I find Mike's humor to be rather Cosmopolitan.
@Mike He should use an adit-tive to get the tough stains out. Especially ones that come from a blood vein.
@Jim Murray In the US Foster Care system, a child "ages out" when he/she turns 18.
@Sam When I was in Junior High, the building sat atop a large hill (at least to my child-size eyes). Despite the fact that a small creek lay at the bottom, everyone at lunch "borrowed" the 10D LUNCHTRAY and off we went! Needless to say, there were quite a few wet bottoms each winter afternoon...should have used your inflatable pool toys.
@Mike That's a fine pun, Mike. You're such a card!
The puzzle was fair and a different concept than usual...but the photo made it even more worth the solve. Love the eyes on the tiger cub and the hand of the chimp!
@Robert According to Wikipedia: boiling each bagel for 60–90 seconds in water that may contain additives such as lye, baking soda, barley malt syrup, or honey There are no emus in a bagel bath, however.
I've driven across the state of Kansas many times...you cannot convince me that it isn't the flattest place on earth, let alone state in the US! Emus like hills, it makes them think they're flying.
@Mike Are you ever on the level?
@Lou Scheffer Wait until you hear about Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea!
@Megan By "Anita," I assume you mean Anora?
@Steve L If you can't stand the heat, WILT you get out of the kitchen? Would the emus be able to take it?
"And it all started with a big bang. Bang!"
@Hillary Rettig You need to add the space/hyphen for it to make sense. The "x-axes" would be the basic plot lines when looking at multiple graphs.
@dutchiris Mike's a rial card isn't he?
I find it rather sad that a chaplain can have TAB for 9A while my initial answer was LIE. I really do need to get out more. Perhaps the emus and I can paint the town red.
@Steven M. Congrats...although it was a Tuesday puzzle. Sorry to both you and the emus.
@Steve L Babe Didrikson (Zaharias) certainly didn't mind the name...and I wouldn't mind someone calling me that were I the greatest female athlete of the century!
@Tim Lexvold I've often been on the same wavelength as the constructor, but I may have actually written this puzzle in another life. My solve time was less than 1/2 of my usual Friday. Fun, but over way too soon!
@Alex If you don't know TOMLIN you should!
@Al in Pittsburgh Don't forget NIL money and the transfer portal. The rich are getting richer and the mid-majors are getting poorer. Doesn't bode well for future Cinderella's I'm afraid.
@Barry Ancona Closer to an average Tuesday, but enjoyable, nevertheless.
@Steve L If the Philly BOOBIRDs boo the home team, then who boos Santa Clause? Oh, I remember, it's the emus.
@Jennifer Might want to hazard a look back...it's not OREO that Jamie is over. My sentiments exactly.
@Steve L I am proof that you didn't need to have either watched it or heard of it. A few crosses, the words "corner store" in the clue and it filled in nicely.
@Steve L Don't forget the UTE's!
@Sal My guess is that the photo references the "Silent I's" in 45D. Either that or there is an emu hiding in one of them.
