Incredible construction and a fun puzzle to boot!!
I will never understand why AROAR is not an acceptable word in Spelling Bee.
Fun theme but the Eiffel Tower is in no way “rod-shaped”. “Notorious parasite” or “unavoidable parasite” or “parasite found near a river bank” would have been much better clues.
My favorite little detail is that *only* the themed across answers contain Cs.
“IS PEPSI OK” is my favorite answer in a long time. Tough, fun puzzle. I wish every Friday was like this.

@Andrzej It’s an American English puzzle with anglicized answers. Every other day there’s an answer like “ANO” in the place of “año”. And in Spanish believe you me those words mean two very different things.

This is no disrespect to Joel, but has anyone else noticed a nice uptick in quality since Will Shortz came back? The puzzles are more challenging in a fun way. Again, Joel did a good job but nice to have the goat back.
