All right, how many of you have actually used the phrase mare's nest in the last year? I get that I haven't been exposed to everybody's idioms but holy cow.

This was really unsatisfying for me. Like a joke that you get but it doesn't seem like it quite works and so it doesn't end up being funny. That and a bunch of esoteric trivia. Saturdays are really hit-or-miss for me, so I assume that some satisfied saturday lovers out there are glad for this puzzle.

That clouds clue should never have made it to print. Fine puzzle otherwise. Not much of a Thursday though.

I did not like this puzzle. Making us click away from a clue to get the real clue is just a pain. I don't care how clever you think it is it's a pain. I enjoy interesting tricks in puzzles. I do not enjoy having to click away just to see what the clue is. Next time the clue should just give you an email address, and you send an email to the address, and then you get an email with the actual clue. That would be really clever.

Adding my voice to the choir. This was an absolute delight. It was too easy for a Thursday but almost nobody minds that because it was so much fun.

I don't think anyone has ever described the same person as being both tressed and hairy. Not a bad puzzle overall. The special clues seem a little bit like a stretch. It was one of those puzzles where I filled in what I knew was the right answer but it didn't feel good because they were such a stretch.

There was nothing wrong with this puzzle. It was just not very fun for me. I guess it is a very different experience depending on one's background. Quick and painless. No gripes.

I never ever remember how to spell kapische.

I did this whole puzzle thinking it was the Thursday puzzle. I kept thinking this really feels more like a Friday puzzle. Nice construction and an enjoyable solve.

Enjoyed the cluing. I did not enjoy having to keep track of the letters of horse in my head. Would have been nice to be able to fill them out somehow so I could keep track of them.

A real challenge, but every clue was fair. Great puzzle.

Loved the theme. Did not enjoy the fill. It felt like either the constructor was sixty years my senior or just making it work. All's well that ends well.

An unusually intense Wednesday puzzle. Couldn't decide if I loved it or hated it. Some of it was a stretch. It all fell into place, though.

Y'all need to stop picking apart other people's preferences. I loved this puzzle and hated yesterday. Does that make me a noob or a genius? Both of them were difficult. Great job on this puzzle. Few obvious answers, but solveable without arcane knowledge.

I hate split clues. Very ambivalent about this amazing puzzle.

Today's puzzle was full of gimmies, trivia, and really bad puns. It wasn't a super long solve, but it also wasn't a pleasant one for me.

Perfect Monday puzzle. The theme didn't do anything to distract from the fill. Fun theme. Fun clues. Easy.

Somewhat ambivalent about this one. Good theme and unique clues that didn't always land for me. Overall enjoyable. One of those puzzles that feel like dancing with the construcor.

I really liked that RE RE sounds like an alarm in my head. So I'm imagining these things alarms blazing letting everyone know they're broken.

This puzzle was mostly fun, but committed some pretty serious sins. Putting 'the' in front of an answer is kind of ridiculous. The theme is actually one and a half out of three not two out of three. That confused me for so long until I realized it was just wrong. The cluing was really a mixed bag some of it was great some of it was absolutely terrible.

I absolutely loved this puzzle. Usually a trick this severe requires bad clues and questionable fill. This one was just great. Then I got to the bottom right corner. The corner is terrible. It's one of those things where I plugged in the right letters and got myself a star but still never in my life have run into more than one of those phrases.

There were some fun clues but this was ultimately and unsatisfying puzzle for me. I think I just don't like the theme.

Crossword answers, like punchlines of jokes, are great when they are unexpected but fit perfectly the lead-in. Too many of these answers strained to fulfill the clues. This was surprisingly a quick solve for me. I really dug today's trick. I did not have fun with the rest of the puzzle.

This was fun and well executed.

Fun puzzle. Not as difficult as most Sundays, but asked something unique of us and the clues and fill were good.

A real mixed bag for me. I really really enjoyed some of the clues. And I think overall the puzzle was good. I absolutely hate clues that yell at me though. Just give me a clue don't try to be cute. Painful but not wholly unpleasant.

This was really fun for a Monday.

Overall enjoyable puzzle. The theme was nice. Sometimes it's obvious when you start with bad fill and then try to come up with an excusable clue. Kayo and minor team fit that description.

This puzzle had some really good clues, and I think it was cleverly built. I think the difficulty was fair, and there was some well done misdirection. It did seem that some of the answers were forced, like that's what needed to go there but it wasn't a great fill.

Was thinking today is pozo was kind of strange. Like a Monday trying to be a Thursday. Then I sawt the constructor notes. It's pretty ambitious to be even doing puzzles at that age. Anyway enjoyable but easy.

I've been solving for decades and this was my least favorite puzzle yet. I know a lot of work is put into these and some of it was a good challenge. Too many stretches. Imagine telling a CPA their job is to work on columns. So often great puzzles are ruined by the excesses of the puzzlers.

This was weird. I really did not enjoy the puzzle, but I feel like I'd get along well with it's creator. Too many clues seemed like a stretch. Some were really fun though

A relatively quick but less satisfying solve today. The trick was clever but not part of the solve. It was obvious what I was supposed to do long before it was obvious why. This was just one of those where a lot of the clues seemed like stretches. None of them seem particularly bad or unfair. Just not my wavelength.
