This is the type of Friday / Saturday puzzle I've been waiting to return.

Clever, but I hated it.

Great puzzle. Took me almost two hours which I love for a Saturday. And like all great difficult puzzles the clues were hard but the answers were gettable.

Ok, so the puzzle maker is very talented and creative, but I hated, hated hated it. Give me clever cluing without the gimmicks.l, please.

Any else tired of all the gimmicks? I wish we could get straight, non-themed puzzles for Fri, Sat, Sun.

Great puzzle. Fun clues. Few foreign names / places / phrases and best of all no theme and no gimmicks.

I havent missed completing a puzzle in years, but I hate these "clever"puzzles the way I hate magicians. Themes are sometimes fun, but every Sunday thru Thursday is too much bulls@%t. How do the editors expect to attract a new generation of puzzlers past a Monday or Tuesday completion. Pop culture references aren't enough. Just give us a good meaty puzzle without the gimmicks. Thankfully there are Thursdays and Fridays and their archives.

Best Sunday puzzle of the year. So refreshing not having a gimmick or theme. Hire Mr. Quigley full time, please.

Has anyone else noticed that Thursday and Friday puzzles seem easier than they used to be? I do a lot of the archive puzzles and T & F there seem a lot harder.

Please fix the archive bug. I have to go back 10 years to find the puzzles I was working on. It used to hold your place.

Way too easy for a Saturday. I'll have to find something else to do today. I remember when Friday and Saturday puzzles were hard. :(

I'm usually not a fan of Thursday puzzles but this one was great. Loved the offbeat cluing.

Super tough. But no themes or silly gimmicks, so it's a thumbs up from me.

I'm a complainer about Saturday's being too easy, but not this one. Still working on it...
