Very playful and cute though I’ve never seen “ROWR” only “RAWR”
Love love loved this one! So clever. I liked the across rebus slowly dawning on me. Rebus Hive, stand up!
Cute! Always look forward to Erik Agard puzzles.
Am I getting smarter or are the puzzles getting easier?
Wow I broke my Sunday record by like 7 minutes with this one!
As a lover of palindromes, this was awesome!
Cheeky and cute, but not in an annoying way—the best! And weirdly fast for a Saturday, but in a satisfying way—also the best!
Before I looked at the length, I thought the answer to 38D might be TLC, who also have a song called “Creep,” so it was great to see that answer appear elsewhere in the puzzle. Coincidence?
@Teresa SAME! I was waiting for it
@Intermediate level Came here looking for this. I assumed it was gAS-relief
Dang why is she roasting the puzzle and its maker so hard : |
This is so clever but I totally missed the either/or of it all! (Though I did notice that ELASTICITY and PLASTICITY are only one letter apart and thought *I* was the clever one…go figure)
More fun puzzles like these, please.
This one was WAY easier than yesterday’s, which felt pretty challenging for a Wednesday. Finished this one in 6:25!
@JBW same. Thank you, music theory knowledge!
@Chili uh oh…if “Sharif don’t like it” (rock the Kasbah…rock the Kasbah!)
Is it me or is NOSE misspelled? Or is that somehow part of the theme?
@HeathieJ I actually *did* downgrade my subscription because of the annoying family pop-up ads—I was tempted to cancel altogether but decided to keep Games. But I do think it’s that annoying.
Loved this one! I love when there’s something to figure out :)
Natty Lite (short for Natural Light beer) was in Connections yesterday also! Only way I would have known to go in that direction.
Michael Jackson has that song “Earth Song” with the refrain “What about…?” over and over, which is what makes 11A/12D a great crossing to me.
@Katie I had both staRRATING and pooRRATING at first
@Marshall Walthew Yup, broke a record and missed the theme all at once
Anyone else have Wordle at the top of their Games app above Crossword? Is it just my app, or have the NYT Games Power Ranklings changed?
Why just TRAPP and not VON TRAPP? I was going to put MARIA but knew that couldn’t be it.
Where are people seeing this new format? Is it in the web browser? I don’t notice anything different in the NYT Games app.
Loving all the crossovers here: LORIS from Wordle; “troublemaker” clue here and in this week’s New Yorker puzzle by Mr. Agard.
@Steven M. Yes! Me too. This one wasn’t too hard.
@Sara Burns you can always check the answer key to avoid ruining your streak!
@Renegator I don’t get the milk one still. How does it work?
