@Mike It would be best if you don’t leek this information.
Mr. Chalfin, Glad you’re healing with the help of your therapist by recalling joy of a special moment. PS. Clever puzzle!
Congratulations, Owen, on your debut NYT crossword puzzle - on a Saturday!
I’ll miss seeing your byline and reading your columns. I wish you lots of chocolate to nibble as you decide on your next adventures. All the best in life to you, and your family.
@Mike I’m also grateful for the NYT puzzles and for your puns. Happy Thanksgiving.
Kudos to the clever one who chose a photo of Omar Sharif playing bridge. Bridge Support
@Mike Sorry, I don’t want to be a dip, so I’ll split.
@Mike Maybe channel good spirits using your powers of ESPN.
@Mike Sauria don’t have anything to say about it.
@Mike Butter you going to milk it for all its worth?
@Mike I just get a charge out of it.
My condolences to you and your family. Peace be with you.
Fritz Juhnke - Congrats on your impressive debut. The “T” grid was interesting and I liked your clues. TIL “Regnant. I thought it was a fabulous Friday puzzle. Hopeful you’re working on a follow up.
I’ll miss your Wordplay columns, Deb. I’ve been a Times crossword puzzler for over 35 years and moved from the print edition to digital about ten years ago. That’s when I discovered your column. It’s for everyone who enjoys solving crosswords because of your ability to connect with beginners through experienced puzzlers. I’ll leave it here for today. Cruciverbalist…it’s a good word to say. 🌞🌻
@Mike Allium saying is, I love onions, too.
Enjoyed this debut! Another one, please?
Fun puzzle! Loved the clues and the constructor’s notes. So kudos to Nick Offerman and his Sherpa, Christina Iverson. Of course, Parks & Rec will remain a favorite of mine. Does anyone else remember his Nick, the plumber, character on a 2001 episode of Will & Grace? He and Karen Walker (Megan Mullally, now is real life wife) played a hilarious scene. Chemistry.
@Mike Happy New Year’s, Mike. Thanks for the puns! Cheers 🥂!!
Rena, I loved solving this puzzle. It was fun, entertaining and witty.
This was challenging, clever and fun. My solve time was much longer than my average, so - so be it. My accomplishment was finishing the puzzle. My aha moment was recognizing the ‘split’ of the theme clues. Thanks, Adam Wagner and Simeon Seigel, for an ambitious and demanding Sunday crossword. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
No buts about it, I liked this puzzle and enjoyed solving it. Thanks, Dan!
@Mike Macaw the fun you want, I tawt it was tweet.
@Mike Take the bridge the next time you play. Will you have more fun? I’d bank on it.
@Mike “You keep me in stitches.”
@Mike @Petrol I agree, however sometimes it’s all about immersion.
@Mike “The pay on this restoration was low because there was a lot of overhead.”
@Mike Butter not waffle around.
@Mike Not to needle you, but is that a noble pun?
@Mike all of this strikes a chord with me.
Congrats on your graduation! Enjoyed the puzzle.
@Mike “Gee, and haw’s that working for you?”
@Mike I wanted to say this earlier and forgot, but batter late than never!
@Mike Why feel sheepish? Ewe be ewe.
@Mike “Quick. Call for the defibrillator!”
@Mike I’m really moo-ved by what you said.
@Mike Thank you for another pun-filled year. I wish you a happy holiday season, too.
I thought this was a fun clever puzzle. Omnomnom gave me a chuckle. Nice debut, Mr. Lively!
@Mike “You have it all tied up!”
@Mike “”I Camembert bear it.”
@Lige Welcome back! Several years ago my husband was diagnosed and successfully treated for prostrate cancer. Those months were stressful. One thing we learned was the fine art of napping in the afternoons after his radiation treatments. Glad you’re well.
