Not crazy about the cross of MITE with TILSIT
A bit too contrived

@Ryan no you are to assume that sometimes you have to use crosses and guesses and knowledge of language to complete a puzzle. It’s not a contest, you know. You can enjoy learning new things from a puzzle. It’s ok that you dint k ow everything.
I kept waiting for a reference perhaps to Old McDonald and EI EI O, but it never came. I thought MOOER would contribute to the fun. In the end it seemed kinda pointless.
This was clever and fun but I kinda wanted the circled letters to spell something

I enjoyed this one. It was clever, and a bit more challenging than typical Tuesday
There have probably been some exceptions to this, but in general I am not a fan of puzzles that have to use “-“ as clues. This puzzle feels like the constructor’s goal was to show off rather than entertain.

1) It was too easy 2) the words with the sides included have no significance or relationship to anything. Why bother even making them words.

The puzzle title and the clue for 21 across gave away the theme right away, and from there it was too easy.

@SP true. One of the best things you can do for yourself is to let the streak get broken before it gets too long. Wait until a day late once in a while. Losing a streak of 20 is no biggies. Losing a streak of 1200 will make you unhappy. Don’t let yourself get handcuffed to streaks!
Puns can be fun but overall it was kinda boring and pretty easy
Finished it without trouble. Too short for sunday. Didn’t find much amusement from the theme. Nothing interesting about putting some question marks under a few words. “FIREF” is weak, not because it’s not a word but because everything else poking out of the pipes is. Was there any reference in the clues to what the circles were for? I didn’t have the patience to go back and look. A disappointing Sunday.
