When you’re an Indian, living in India, and struggle to crack 12A because you assume “no way Americans would know about that dish” I kept inputting DAL in the last three alphabets, only to be proved wrong.
What a delightful and I mean DELIGHTFUL puzzle this was!! Well done Mr. Schiff! This was a double delight with the witty way of looking at the letter PHI. Can’t imagine the time and effort that went into crafting it. Ingenious! 👏 👏
I just assumed the Hoff and Selleck had a CHIN CLEFT in common. Turns out I was wrong 😑
What a brilliant puzzle this was! Hats off 🎩
I love the cute backstory about Brooklyn 99. Made this puzzle even more endearing!
I entered Donkey Kong, thinking it’s a rebus puzzle

What a fun puzzle that was, Mr. Kwong! And great to see you’re a total nerd who loves crosswords and magic puzzles! Hope your daughter continues to inspire you to come up with more creative puzzles! ❤️
Found this Friday puzzle surprisingly easy! Yay!
I had fun doing this! 26D makes for a wonderful pickle (or relish) where I live. Full of Vitamin C too!
Millennial here. Hearing the word TURNT for the first time ever 😑
Could the puzzle theme BE any easier? I kept thinking it had something to do with coffee 🤦🏽
SO MUCH FUN! Thank you for a delightful puzzle and a nostalgic memory of a game I aced at!
Indians/South Asians spell and pronounce the word for “destiny” with an A, not an E. So these cross border variations always fascinate me. (Much like kabob and nabob, which are American for kabab and nawab) Also, never knew the a vegetable that rhymes with 🤮 existed. Nor did I know about the carved bit of jewellery. I learn something new everyday!
What a fun puzzle! It was frustrating to know the answers but not the rebus. But once I figured it out, it was so much fun! Rebus and theme hint: Think of your computer KEYpad
Oh I just realised (after reading other comments) it’s a cucumber lol. That’s a nickname I haven’t heard 😆
@Sebastian I was just as flummoxed as you to see that word, and quite amused to see it’s a short form of cucumber 🥒
Never heard of “jibes” with it. Did they mean vibes?
Could someone help me understand the connection between “don’t blow it” and big lead? 🧐
