As a retired technocrat, I would disagree that technocrats are skilled at governance, unless it’s meant in a *very* limited sense.
Wow. Very good puzzle - difficult because of the wordplay, not because of artificial esoterica. Thought the lower right corner was going to do in my streak, but finally got it. Congratulations on an excellent debut.
Amazingly creative puzzle. I don't know how the puzzle creator managed to create and put in all those palindromes and yet still find the needed fill without silly entries. A real piece of crossword art. Thank you.
Not my favorite. I got the “Kids’ game” and “Doesn’t have a clue” and then figured out the answer. But I had no clue where the correct letters came from for the other two. The methods given for solving the other two were ridiculous. But I don’t like (or have the patience) for Escape Rooms, in general, so I admit my prejudice. Hopefully, next Sunday will be less clever, but more fun.
At TIMES I found this puzzle vexing, but I was really PRIMEd for something like this. But I am feeling a bit NUMBER than I felt when I started on it.
One of the best Friday puzzles in a while. I can’t imagine how much work it took to fit in so many long answers.
Thank you for including the clue about Edna Lewis. What a fascinating person!
What a creative idea. Very impressive.
Finished it, but for a color-blind person like me, it was more of a logic puzzle! Still, a very creative puzzle.
Very cute puzzle, but try to have mercy on us red-green colorblind folks!
I assume others have mentioned this, but the answer to 39 down is NOT a unit of power. The constructor(s) needs to retake Physics 101.
@EA Sorry. 31 Down. Short term memory loss...
@drsophila :) But if you changed the "V" to a "B", the clue could have been "horse/stud".
