Didn’t we just have that identical clue for ACTOR?

Absolutely loved this puzzle. Shaded area and obvious answers like ALPACA, ABUELA, and CARELL gave it away. Didn’t totally get the edges until DAS and SORKIN though. Personally I found it significantly easier than normal Thursday rebus puzzles where it’s harder to know where exactly the rebus will show up. Stumped me for a while on MUDSTAIN and MURALIST though so a longer time for Thursdays. Also entering rebus is pretty easy on mobile (and even easier on desktop). I don’t get what the fuss is about.

Good. Though seemed like a bit too many proper names for a Monday.

Really a tricky one but was overall good! I personally wouldn’t consider either of the E’s in “sometimes” silent. Both of them impact the prior vowel sound. I think of silent as the word is pronounced the same without it.

Really good puzzle. Though I refused to give up USSENTERPRISE for so long that I couldn’t get that section for the life of me. Fun Sunday otherwise and I know nothing about Star Trek. Other than the name of the ship.

Loved this puzzle! Can’t say I wasn’t disappointed there wasn’t a fun graphic at the end though. NONO turning into YES or something. :)

I’m much happier with the actual answer but I had to use the answer key to switch WAIST to WRIST.

Your biceps are not used in a pull up. It should be lats or traps. Bicep would be more appropriate for a chin up.

Really loved this puzzle! And had one of my fastest Friday times on it too. I struggled with the top left as I didn’t know most of the proper nouns. But trying out OKOK started to open it up. CHAINSTORES was the first long answer I filled in. Thought it was completely fine, even good clue. I don’t understand the confusion around SLUR. That is very normal and extremely common in music.

I’ve never heard KUSH used to mean high thc weed. I had HASH there for the longest time and didn’t want to change it bc thought it couldn’t be wrong. SE seemed a bit too filled with reaches. Otherwise really liked the theme. Took me a long time.

BUMP, SET, and SPIKE unfortunately fit nicely at the end of each of the across theme answers. And that threw me for quite a while since I was convinced they ended with it. I had BILBO and BUMP in the top middle and couldn’t figure out what it could possibly be.

Maybe something we can all get on board with is not liking the new graphic for the crossword stats. You can’t easily compare this week to your average from the graph. Especially since the axis changes.

Why can you never get the jump to links to work correctly? It seems like they jump to an article instead about 95% of days.

I think they need to either stop making clues that don’t work on the app or have text version of clues on the app that say they don’t work. This keeps happening.

SAMUS was one of the few along with SASHAY I knew 100% on the first pass through. Pretty famous character even outside the Metroid games due to her inclusion in all the Nintendo smash bros games. Not really arcane at all.

How is THREEPIO a spelling for 3PO? I get that it’s phoenetic but still, it’s just made up. I had THREEPOH for the longest time and changed it to THREEPEO especially with hair NETs causing head scratching.
