This is, without a doubt, the worst constructed puzzle you have ever published. Even if you forgive the use of rebuses (which are always bad) the down clues Do. Not. Make. Any. Sense. Do better.

I'm a relatively old man, but I've never, ever, not once ever, heard someone described as "uppish". I don't really know how crosswords are constructed, but if the author was looking for a definition to fit a sequence of letters, they missed.

This was even worse than using rebuses, because as annoying as those are, at least you can cross-check answers. Here, you just have to guess that you have things right. This isn't a puzzle, it's a dartboard, and we're all playing blindfolded. So silly.

Rebuses are terrible. Please stop using them.

Clever theme! I'm embarrassed too admit I didn't understand it until I had already finished the puzzle. Very tricksey.

Rebuses are a gimmick. Hate them.
