There are thousands of ways to clue "Ron" without invoking the name of that odious governor of Florida. Otherwise, it was a wonderful puzzle
When the puzzle has tricky clues I enjoy the challenge! When the puzzle has a new, unusual feature I've never encountered before I enjoy the challenge! When the puzzle has an answer that is different from what I originally thought it was I enjoy the challenge! If I didn't love doing the puzzle every day, I wouldn't do it. I relish the variety and unpredictability of the crossword. Thanks to all involved!
@Grant I criticized a public figure and you criticized me, a crossword solver. They are not one and the same. Desantis has made a career of sowing hate and is actively putting the entire LGBT community at risk. I will rein in my dislike of Ron when I, and those like me, can peacefully use the bathroom in his state without fear of arrest. I refuse to apologize for not liking fascists.
I really enjoyed this puzzle! I "braided" the across answers, leaving the down answers readable in a straight line. My only critique is that the puzzle should have been solvable either way.
