I understand the concerns of those who make a CAREER of complaining here, but I feel like it's CAREENing out of control, sometimes. I guess I'm complaining about complainers? 🤔 Catch-22 achieved. 😁
@SP I last read Cat in the Hat about six decades ago, and never saw the movie. I didn't remember the "Thing" things at all.

Very clever one today! When I suddenly figured out the trick, I F E L L out of my chair. ** ** No puzzlers were harmed during the completion of the crossword.
I solved the crossword, BUT instead of congratulations it claimed that something was amiss. I scoured it from top to bottom, using up quite a lot of time, and couldn't find an issue, so in desperation I ended up using the Check Puzzle option. Guess what? Instead of pointing out an error, it said I had solved it! And yes, I lost my streak in the process. I'm a bit peeved, to say the least.
Well, that solve sure was FAST. But I'm not furious about it! I wouldn't even mind a sequel. Or eleven** of them, even. **I checked. They've actually made that many Fast and Furious films!!
Hilarious theme! I had a fun time imagining what that sloppy jalopy would have looked like. I think I just dated myself badly by using 'jalopy'. I confess that I've been watching too many re-runs of old 1950s-60s sitcoms, now that I'm retired from the rat race. Wait... is rat race still used? Sigh.
Not to sound like a broken record, but I too would like to join the chorus of those who broke records today. Now, who else is going to volunteer to help clean up all those nasty, sharp shards of broken records littering the floor? What a mess! OUCH!
I got a little stuck during this puzzling ordeal, and almost ran out of energy to finish. No matter. I avoided an epic defeat, and finished the whole enchilada, and that's the gospel truth. I'll let myself out.

@Sean Are you referring to the popup that says you're close to finishing, but still have error(s) left? That's the only popup I ever see.
