Such a fun, clever puzzle. I feel like we hardly see puzzles like this anymore. Thank you, Erica.
@WA .... Sadly, I am not a young solver, and I knew it. Just something you weren't familiar with.
As soon as I see that the constructor is Simeon Seigel, I just fill it in and wait for tomorrow.
@Keith p … I’m in U.S., and I found it incredibly vague and not fun at all.
Katie Hoody again? Yuck. Skipped it.
showerbeer .... etc. I give up. Puzzles lately have been pathetic disappointments. A difficult puzzle is not a bad puzzle. Looking things up is learning, not cheating. I love rebuses. But I guess my days of enjoying a clever and intelligent NYT puzzle are over. I'm done.
@Marek ... Pls don't let the regulars in this column and their consistent criticism of anyone who doesn't LOVE the puzzle be any more than a reflection on their own desperation to be relative. There are many of us in the U.S. who don't spend our time defending bad puzzles and attacking people here just because we have nothing else to do.
@Penny ... Lost because it was such a bad clue, among others, and the one I quit the puzzle on.
