Misspelled BULGER, which resulted in TREELOVE. I convinced myself that my ideal mate will be a TREELOVER. Nothing wrong with that.

TEENTSY? Google says no. Internet says no. Apart from that, it was hard but fair and fun.

Fun fun. The only thing missing was upon completion, the vine to come alive with sparklers and colors and Jack appearing from behind the beanstalk and Princess Fiona to make an appearance with jazz hands and rapenzel with her long hair too….

If your greatest gripe today is that the puzzle did not accept LINE, you’re living a charmed 1% of the global 1% life. Thank the stars.

I don’t want to say that this was like pulling teeth because honestly it was like a hernia operation

I needed the balloons to rise and the lights to go on after the solve. Cmon NYT!!!

Loved it. Circles only appeared this morning, we’re not visible last night, and that made the difference Sign of a good puzzle is the hate mail

Hello, the answer key is still linking to an older puzzle

Nominating ‘pitches low and inside’ for the clue of the year….

I started out getting frustrated but once I got a hang of the theme, it was a fun puzzle.

I just googled and read about Will Shortz. Sending him good vibes and wishes for a speedy recovery. Come back soon, Sir.

Bring back Will Shortz. Clone the dude. Or hire someone who thinks like him. Or I’m going to go elsewhere for my puzzles

Way too hard for me and there was no door slightly left ajar to crack it open.

Needed way too much help to say I solved it. Like if we had golf like handicap for crossword, I’d say I needed a 12 shot start. It would be like saying I swam the lake in a yacht’s jacuzzi. Like saying I beat Usain Bolt starting at the 90 meter line. Like saying I’m an investment genius in this out of whack stock market. Like I cooked a dish in microwave. Like that

We need TRICKIER Thursdays. Like we had before. TRICKS nobody ever seen before. New tricks, off the GRID invisible squares tricks. MAKE THURSDAY TRICK AGAIN Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I enjoyed it. I’m getting back to solving especially the weekend. I don’t care about streaks anymore. I just solve when I feel like it.

Same as others said, very tough but fun to fail at.

Contrary to popular opinion, this was a great, challenging Saturday. How Saturdays are supposed to be. The northeast was very hard and I needed some help but was able to solve the rest after much erasing.

We may be living in the DARKESTTIMELINE. Everyone GLANCESAT the news. BITSOF lost freedoms and a HOST of atrocities. We OWETO our nation to vote as our CIVICDUTY. We cannot GETUSEDTOIT. We cannot have tyranny LORDITOVER us. That’s what YODA would say.

I really liked good puzzle even though it felt easier than most Saturdays My only hiccup was having SWEET TEA and figuring out the meaning of turer

I miss Will Shortz. That’s all

I am just not having fun with puzzles here anymore. I feel like I learned to solve Will Shortz puzzles in the pandemic, post pandemic era. And I got better at it over time. This new style is more old school like what you find in the archives. I always thought that those 10-15 year old puzzles were impossible for me. So after being able to solve Thursday to Sunday consistently for years, I can’t get anything these days. I don’t know how to tackle that. It’s like relearning the whole thing. I’m not having fun.

Difficult but doable. Friday delivers again. Actually this week has been great for puzzles. Knock on wood.

That was a fun solve. Today’s mini is a fun construction too.

Beautiful puzzle. The kind where you don’t get anything until you do. The kind that makes you believe in the sanctity of Xword again. So tremendous.

I bet the HOUSE and looked under the SKY and looked for a TINGE of hope

Not gonna lie, today was a hard puzzle especially the southeast. Really liked the clues for HAILMARY and SLEEPMASK.

Chief Technology Officer led to MANGTONE Mangtone is the musical artist name for Magnus Hammer, a Swedish artist and actor from Lund, Sweden. Alas, I always pick CTO before CIO Does a company ever need both?

One could go to the BIERHAUS but that won’t solve the puzzle. On the plus side you can drink away the puzzlement. But it’s early here. Great solve. Thank you.

Very fun and I appreciate the visual at the end.

I miss Will Shortz

Loved this puzzle. Friday, Saturday puzzles are delivering week after week.

Like I said, Fridays and Saturdays are the best puzzles consistently. This one looked impossible until I solved it. More of these please.

I enthusiastically entered stethoscoNes with an ‘N’ thinking that the answers will be punny that way. But realized the answers were not to be punny.

If only love was this easy…

A thorough mental workout this Saturday morning. I’ll be napping

Not my favorite puzzle.

Beautiful puzzle. Thank you.

I had Colin Farrell in that middle across and thought of the banshees of inesherin. It was a tough puzzle but mostly fair.

Fun puzzle like most Fridays have been lately. I did spend a considerable amount of time trying to understand the word ORELSE. Finally after solving I googled it and face palmed.

Very challenging but very enjoyable. I will now outline my travels: EBRO made me fill ALLEYRAP, which if you think about it is a perfect answer to the clue. SCARFING and ARCIE also made a lot of sense.

No idea how I filled the northwest but I did with no help. Satisfied.

I didn’t get it, I didn’t enjoy it, a slog for me. But I’m happy you’re happy

This was a Saturday level difficulty. I had to get some help.

I don’t know why NYT decided to do no more tricks on Thursdays. Those puzzles were great and when I did archives, I only did Thursdays at first. PLEASE DO MORE TRICKS LIKE YESTERYEAR

Did not enjoy a Saturday after a long time. Just too difficult. Oh well

For Field of Play? I had SALLY, which I thought was brilliant. It also worked with 1A STOP. Alas the constructor wasn’t feeling me.

OMG Will is back?!?!?!? I missed you Sir Will
