Huh? Those grey squares totally threw me off. That puzzle took forever even with help. Definitely NOT a fun puzzle.
So, let me see if I have this right. I don't even know how to say it: There's no meaning behind the animals; they're not necessarily attracted in any way, right? Like I mean, an ANT is not attracted to a DOG, right? An OWL has no relation to a GNU, right? They're just animals. Am I making any sense? lol, sorry. It was cute but it doesn't make any sense. Is it supposed to?
@Mitchell You should try the very first puzzle the times created. Talk about obscure clues and answers. I thought it would be fun to try it, nope.
Very hard puzzle today, as usually a Saturday puzzle is. I actually got HOMECOOK on my own as a total guess! But everything else was pretty tough. What is a YES? (the envelope). I skimmed the comments and didn't see it. And lol, SHORTA? Ohhhhh man, I got it from the crosses but I thought there has to be a better clue just for that!
Now I know why people avoid me! I smell bad! (I don't want puzzles to be super easy but I kinda want them to make sense. That. Made. No. Sense. And was not fun at all. Sorry Mr. Ewbanks)
Neato! (I solved the puzzle but never figured out the gimmick! Had to come here to find out what it was. But it seems I am not alone in completely missing it) Fun puzzle tho.
Fun little puzzle! Um, may I axe (sic)? Am I incorrect in thinking that some Jewish believers do not write the name of "God"? I don't know where I got the idea that they write something like G-d. But because of that, that would mean they couldn't get a puzzle completion, right? I'm not trying to agitate anyone, I'm just curious. What do they do? Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year to all!
Wow! That was impressive. (I got all the left sides but couldn't figure out the right sides without cheating! Oh well. I always forget to think OUTSIDE the box with your puzzles!) Very clever!

@Momerlyn Thanks for replying! I agree with your last sentence! In today's puzzle, one answer was OHGOD. I imagine a lot of Jewish people do the crossword. How do they get around filling that in to complete the puzzle, if they're not allowed to write G O D?
Man, I blew through that one in record time! (Did they get this puzzle mixed up with the one yesterday? That one should have been a Thur puzzle! Lol!) 🫤

@Andrzej I cannot imagine trying to do these puzzles as a foreigner! Good on you! It's interesting to go back in time to work the puzzles. I went back to the very first one they created and could not do it. I had no idea what the clues were!😄
