Now this is a brilliant puzzle. Inspired, outside-the-box theme idea executed cleverly with some sparkling fill and an a-ha revealer. Spectacular Tuesday. 3:28.

Joe subtly hinting at using an LLM to write his clues? Cancelling my subscription is gonna be fairly easy if we start seeing slop crosswords. Plenty of human constructors out there to support.

Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man name!

I'm pretty close to cancelling my sub after this puzzle. The Sundays lately have been full of mediocre fill but this one had some incorrect clueing. Technocracy is almost always defined as governance by experts - something Brin and Page are not - and the less common definition - technical expert managers - would make sense if Brin was any kind of manager at this point, having stepped down as CEO of Alphabet in 2019. Additionally, Biggie Smalls was one of the Notorious B.I.G.'s pseudonyms, but was not his actual name nor his stage name. It worries me that Will thought this was elegantly clued. It just felt like a mess built on some decent anagrams. I guess being able to write software to make your puzzles is what counts for talent these days.

@Jane Wheelaghan also an issue is that Brin and Page are not technocrats. They're founders, coders, scientists, but they are not technocrats.
