Notably, the Android app for my Samsung phone omitted one very important visual clue that was present in the Apple app. Specifically: a tiny X was explicitly shown on those border lines that separated each shaded square -- a simple hint to make obvious the need for multiplication. I do enjoy these enhanced video features that bring frumpy old puzzles into the computer age. But please: such embellishments need to look and behave as similarly as possible among differing operating systems.
The 14A spelling of PUHLEASE is shockingly wrong. The correct rendering is OHPUH!LEEEZ wherein the embedded exclamation point is non-negotiable. The 2nd syllable *demands* more than the boringly quotidian digraph EA. My dears: EEE is the minimum, EEEEE even better. Orthography source: RuPaul’s Drag Race.
@LisaK. Agreed. I even wondered how the expected animations would offer a little *verve* for New Year’s Eve.
@Kit I’m a ‘Below Deck’ fan, a show which is often followed by Andy Cohen. Well, that usually triggers a quick channel change. With today’s further notoriety, A.C. is likely to get even more insufferable.
