@Lewis - Let me turn the tables for a second. I hope you know that your comments here are a bright spot in what is often a world full of so many negatives. You always find the best in the puzzle and say such kind and encouraging things. How much fun it would be if we all decided to be an encouragement to someone, in the way you’ve shown us it can be done, to at least one person every day. Just wanted to say thank you Lewis. You are a gem of a human being. .
Am I the only one who thought a runner’s goal was a SEAT because they were tired from all of that exercise?

Almost beat my pb by 2 minutes. Almost! It was all filled in then took me 3 minutes to find my mistake. I hate it when that happens. Haha. Thanks for a fun puzzle
Some puzzles feel like they try too hard to be clever or witty. This one seemed to be both effortlessly. Fun solve. Great puzzle. Thank you

This was a fun puzzle. Good clue and lots of interesting entries. No doubt others finished much faster than I did, but that left me with lots of time to enjoy the process. Very relaxing. Ty. PS: I can hardly wait to meet someone named ROD. My joke is ready!
I had a tough day at work today and came home to this puzzle. It took me a million miles away from my troubles. It was one of those puzzles that put up a good fight but in the end I was victorious. Thanks for a clever theme and for helping my day end in a more relaxing mood.
So sorry for your loss, Deb. Didn’t expect to get teary eyed from reading the crossword column but so it goes. It was heartfelt and beautifully written and brought back memories of my father, who hardly noticed me, taking the time one day to show me how to work the crossword and the importance of 1-across. I’d bet anything that your dad cherished the memories of doing the puzzles with you as much as you do. Can’t imagine how proud he was of you, even if he didn’t always know how to show it.

Felt really dumb for a while. Read the real clues. Caught on right away after that. Haha. Real clues made all the difference. What a cute and clever theme. Well done!
Did the puzzle on Sunday night. Things didn’t fall into place till I remembered that it would run on Monday, April 1. Enjoyed a Monday twist. Fun puzzle
