GOIPO is not the lingo of Wall Street

I didn’t have a long streak going, but it was still my longest - until today. Bummed to find when I finally gave up after poring over the puzzle for my mistake that my only issues were the “lines” throughout the puzzle. In hindsight the dashes made more sense, but I took “dashed” to mean “strike” - as in remove them (or ignore them) when considering the down answers.

I so wish you could still get a gold star when finishing the puzzle without help, even I’m delayed in solving it. NYT, you’re not motivating me to do it any faster with this approach - I do them daily as soon as I can! I’m only just frustrated now that I can no longer tell how long my streak of completes-without-help is. Please change back to a longer window for finishing! Or get a new system that uses a different make for finishing without help and in the narrow time window. I’m finding myself just annoyed when finishing a puzzle outside of the time window.
