Everything was going along smoothly until I was left with only the northeast section. Between being completely wedded to ATTABOY and unfamiliar with ASMR, I simply couldn’t make it work. I don’t think I’ve ever seen or heard ATTAWAY. I finally ran out of patience and resorted to guess-and-check. Looking forward to the Sunday puzzle.
@Sophia Jones I’ve been frustrated by the same thing. I think that the link on the Games app info button used to open to the Wordplay article the NYT app, so it was possible to toggle between the two apps, but now the link opens Wordplay within the Games app, so no toggling between the puzzle and Wordplay column. I tried opening the NYT app separately and navigating to the Wordplay column. Now I can toggle between the puzzle and the column. A little cumbersome, but doable.
Fun, quick, and cute! Funny that I can easily come up with details from nearly 60 year old memories. I wish I did as well remembering things that happened 60 days ago.
Fun puzzle! Quick but not necessarily easy.
@Spmm And a “panini” is not a grilled Italian sandwich. A panino is a sandwich, grilled or not. Panini is the plural form of panino.
Well, that was quite fun. Coincidentally, I just saw a pair of coyotes and lots of roadrunner tracks (those little guys have some big feet!) on my early morning trail walk a couple of days ago. No anvils or empty Acme Corp boxes though. Now I need to go look for some old Loony Toons online.
Fun puzzle! I couldn’t bring it up in the app on my phone or iPad. Did anyone else run into this problem?
I stumbled around this one for some time before finally figuring out what I was doing, then flew through the final 1/3. After hearing the music I was very surprised to see that my time was less than half of my average Thursday time. Funny how that happens occasionally.
