@DQ I was mainly annoyed that "uh oh" is two words, not one. I initially figured it must be "oops".
@B I don't think there is a large cross section between people whose English is so poor they would say "I been had" instead of "I've* been had" and people who would ever naturally use that expression. And any actor that is on screen for the amount of time you're talking about is no longer considered an "extra" - an extra is someone who is in the background and not credited in the credits. "Perp #1" would be a cast member and receive an acting credit/not be considered an extra. To quote Billy Madison, "I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
@Steve L This was the most fun puzzle I've done in ages, just came here to say that. IDK who is having trouble with it online, I found the theme and what you were supposed to do extremely intuitive.
@MikeW can't remember being more proud of finishing a puzzle without cheating and without trial and error! Really had to circle around a million times to get there. Took me nearly an hour. Very satisfying to finally beat.
@Marshall Walthew as someone who this happens to a lot (brute forcing b/c the theme eludes me), for whatever reason this one clicked. That being said, there were enough easy crosses/the phrases were common enough that it was almost unnecessary to understand the theme. Spent 5-10 minutes staring at that OUTEAT CFO TOAT little square, though..
@sotto voce I generally never comment - this was such a fun puzzle! The theme was truly a work of art/every one of those answers made me chuckle. Bravo Adam Wagner!
@Heidi There's also EGO Nwodim to keep in mind - she's been on SNL since 2018.
@Steve L please tell us you're hating on Yoko Ono and not Ayo Edebiri.
