IZZATSO might be the worst crossword answer I’ve even seen. As bad as that Connections “C +BIRD” category. I don’t know if puzzle malpractice is a thing, but it ought to be.

A fun but challenging puzzle that I managed to solve save for a single square in the NW quadrant. Done in once again by opera and dead languages.

This marks the second day in a row that I’ve thrown up my hands at a puzzle. I’m not sure if the puzzles are getting harder, if I’m getting dumber, or if I’ve run out of patience for esoteric clues and tricks. I typically enjoy Saturday and Sunday puzzles, but these were a slog.
