@Art I see a duck... no a rabbit.
@rumbear Well, other than me, apparently.
@Andrzej Right now, the world needs more happy dog photos. Thanks for that!
@ks I suspect her point was pretty much the same as your point.
@Daryl Are we doing the same puzzle?
@Elizabeth The theme answers were all a bit off. In fact, they were one off.
@Eric Hougland I don't see the problem with the 'Alert to prejudice' cluing. To me, it means the same thing as 'aware of prejudice.' In other words, one has opened ones eyes enough to see the prejudice around them.
@Andrzej In baseball the fourth base is called home.
@Elaine Wilson I think her Honorary Oscar counts.
@MFSTEVE Sarcasm? I have to ask. One can never be too sure these days.
@Chito Limson No wonder you hated it. That method would be total tedium. I hate it when I do a 'check puzzle' and realize that I could have gotten the gold star if I'd only waited just a bit longer for the 'aha moment.'
@Steve L Well, he made me look.
@Brian I almost did, but then I thought, 'that's not very nice.' I am Canadian, after all.
@Ashley Wharff One of the meanings of career is pretty much identical to careen. Strange but true.
@_chs_ The H-shaped letter in the Greek alphabet is named eta. And this Homer is Greek.
@Darren I scanned the puzzle for the phrases you might be referring to. Pass the buck? Pearls before swine? I speak those phrases frequently. There are so many similar phrases, especially taken from Shakespeare and the more poetic portions of The Bible. I for one am not ready to toss them all out quite yet.
@LP Guess you can put me into the room with Regine, because I had no idea what you were complaining about either. I also did not feel particularly naticked. Call us The Insufferables
@Charles Anderson There was a radio station way back in the day in Winnipeg at 94.3 on the FM dial. Its call letters were CHIQ. Of course, the hosts referred to it as 94Q. They got away with it for a little while.
