Great puzzle! And just had to share that according to my statistics, this was my 1500th.
I lost a buttonhole. - Steven Wright
Wait - since when is “ma’am” an old fashioned term of address??
@ID I agree! Way too easy for a Thursday, but still such a fun puzzle!
Art History was one of my favorite classes in college, and in love how useful it’s actually ended up being in real life! Just like Skyrim and Dragon Age, which is how I immediately knew GREAVES. Never know how those hours on the Xbox will end up coming in handy.
I really liked this one! And yes, it was nostalgic…this Gen Xer misses the days of paging through the newspaper and picking up copies of other cities’ papers when traveling. I used to collect them…not so easy anymore.
I loved this!! Sure, maybe a bit easy once you get the idea, but still fun!
@Sarah, thank you for saying so. I left my interior design career over 20 years ago, and I still ground my teeth entering in that answer.
Well, I liked this one. The theme clues were fun! So many people get on here and gripe and moan because a puzzle isn’t to their liking. I don’t understand it. What does it add to your day? As even Thumper had to learn, “If you can’t say somethin’ nice, don’t say nuthin’ at all!” Thank you, Mr. Seigel!
@Whoa Nellie This was remarkable! (And I love your “name” - my mom used to say that, brings back sweet memories)
Loved it! Great theme, great cluing.
@Rebecca It was an Astropop in Illinois when the ice cream man came by our apartment! Must be regional!
@Hope Levav And at the Memorial Union at UW Madison…graduated nearly 30 years ago and I can still remember the smell of the food wafting out into the hallway
@The X-Phile 1) What was the point of that? 2) wrong generation, genius.
@Sue Barnet I’ve had it twice in Scotland and loved it both times. But I wouldn’t trust it in any non-Scottish restaurant!
@JohnWM 🤣🤣🤣 Excellent demonstration of the practice, thank you!
@StevenR Fourth Minnesotan who struggled a lot with OJIBWA! Would have been fun to see Anishinaabe though.
