B is not a word. N is not a word. Pass on this puzzle.
Fun puzzle. Southwest corner crushed me.
This theme is rough. Even after reading the explanation, I need yet another explanation. “I’s” being in common phrases to make other phrases somehow pays off “the ayes have it”? Not sure about this one, Bob.
I’ve always associated LOYOLA with Chicago, not New Orleans. Also SLEEKEN might have been a bit much. While this puzzle was far from my favorite, it took me far too long to understand the theme.
Definitely felt more like a Saturday. Really tough. Also going to pile on to the “I BEEN HAD” nonsense.
Couldn’t stand the theme of this particular crossword. Reversing the order and relying on wordplay feels like it’s making things difficult without any real creativity.
Northwest corner was truly awful. Incredibly frustrating to need a rebus when the rest of the puzzle didn’t have any. Also frustrating when you use the check button and the letter “y” shows up as correct even though the rebus answer is “yours”. Loved the rest of it but that corner ruined this one for me.
MAA? Really? Not sure about that one, folks.
Prosit? I thought it was Prost.
Is there a typo in 58 Across? “Talk to shrilly”. Thinking it should be “too”? Or am I thinking about this incorrectly?
Not enough space to spell Wiz Khalifa?
