Cool Papa Bell

@Sam you can’t just stomp around indignant that you don’t know stuff

@Darren you might not be cut out for this game

@BR oh come on

@eric you may have misunderstood what this game is about

@Phil it is your responsibility to learn things, not the creator’s responsibility to anticipate what you already know.

@Berri it is never the fault of the puzzle that you couldn’t figure it out. Physician, heal thyself.

@Travis it’s a wonderful moment when we realize that the puzzle does not bend to our will

@Charles “not knowing something“ does not make it bar trivia.

@Michael it is never the fault of the puzzle that you don’t know stuff

@Xanadu the fault, dear Xanadu, lies not in the puzzle, but in ourselves

@John if you were told something is wrong, then you did not complete it. I’m not sure how to make this any more clear.

@Leo in fairness, there is nothing Americans love more than not knowing a women’s soccer player

@Ken I love it, looking for the complaints is one of my favorite things to see. Imagine looking at a puzzle and saying that your failure is because the puzzle is wrong! I laughed every time.

@SP here here. I’ve been doing this puzzle for what, 30 years, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually found an error in it? It’s always my inability to find the wavelength of the constructor, which is not their fault, it is mine.

@Strudel Dad it’s not the kind of thing you can disagree with

@Rick it’s hard to be wrong in this many ways. Maybe you don’t need to comment on these anymore.

@Charles there’s no trivia in this puzzle. There are perhaps a few things that you did not know, and that are easily deduced from crosses and from having done a crossword puzzle before. It’s got four letters, you knew it was Cher, it’s always Cher.

@Andrew you have been demoted to Pips

@Grant he’s the narrator of the story. His greed ruins the landscape, and he’s cautioning the reader not to make the same mistake.

@Joe mentally I was trying to figure out how to live inside a totem pole for quite some time before it clicked

@John Carson oh I didn’t realize that KA Collins was publishing puzzles elsewhere. That is very disappointing.

@Joe Surely Rosamund Pike is slightly more famous, and would’ve given me in particular a little bit of an hint? Is that too much to ask?

@Barry Ancona I didn’t know the Milo minderbender, which made ildivo a bit of a natick for me. Miro Minderbinder seemed perfectly cromulent.

@B exactly how I felt. Took me well over my average, which I really appreciate. Just couldn’t get the handle on it until I did, thank you Jet li you beautiful king fu pelican.

@J.J. The difficulty in solving it is why this is a puzzle and not some form you are submitting at the DMV.

@Nick a preposterous complaint and you should be ashamed of yourself. I honestly don’t understand how you could not know this, or at the very least figure it out from the crosses.

@Rachel thank you for this very long explanation of what turned out to be a wrong answer on your part.

@drsophila this clue was nonsense, ugh. There were perfectly valid ways to get there but they reached for no good reason.

@Vinny the fault, dear Vinny lies not in the puzzle, but in ourselves

@Jane Wheelaghan it’s “hit me”

@CrispyShot I think the implication is, as a particularly dumb person, they resent being confused by what is ostensibly a puzzle

@Brunsworks really makes you wonder about the other jokes that you’re not getting, doesn’t it?

@William Kash what else could it be

@SP you could waterboard me within an inch of Dick Cheney, and you would not get me to admit that crossword puzzle was too hard for me on Al Gore‘s Internet

@Cassidy you’ll get’em next time champ

@LB if you haven’t been able to do the Sunday puzzle in a month, maybe this game is not for you

@MRR you should delete this, because you just misunderstood

@Nick the fault, dear Nick, lies not in the constructor, but in ourselves
