Started The NY Times Crossword during the pandemic. Today marks my 52nd Monday solve in a row. I’ve been able to solve every day of the week - my first Saturday solve was a couple weeks ago but looking at the comments it seems this was an easier Saturday than usual. My favorite day of the week is Friday, which I began solving with regularity about 2-3 months ago. Other than Saturdays, Thursday rebuses continue to trip me up. :)
@David Sunday puzzle comes out at 6pm on Saturday and Monday’s comes out at 6pm on Sunday. Other days come out 10pm the night before. It’s been that way since I started solving during Covid and likely way before.
Really enjoyed today’s puzzle. Perfect Wednesday puzzle.
If they couldn’t use bold in the app, couldn’t they have used a parentheses to indicate the letters? Very frustrating.
Wow, yesterday's and today's puzzles were just fantastic. Great way to end the week. Very satisfying.
Finally a rebus I can solve! :D Really enjoyed today’s puzzle!
Had a tougher time than usual with this one. That upper left corner threw me for a loop. But finally worked through it. Nice puzzle.
Wow - loved this. Was just about to give up after trying last night. Gave it amother go this evening and was just about to give up but then the theme clues finally clicked in my mind. Those are the best puzzles!
It’s called the MX-5 Miata on the US website.
@HeathieJ I feel like I could have written this comment - same sentiments here. :) That SE corner was tough. Got the rest of it and then got hung up there.
@Steve L haha I was wondering…I solved it but it was frustrating me…then the twist and I questioned why it was a Monday puzzle lol - now with your comment, it all makes sense. I’ve just been solving the puzzle for little over a year and must have missed Apr 1st last year.
@Janine it was still pretty challenging even if it was on the easier side. I had the same reaction reading the comments about an “easy” Saturday i solved earlier this month. Congrats on the solve!
@Bill this is the fault of the puzzle editors, not the IT Dept - IT doesn’t input the clues and don’t do the proofreading
@John MacC this is getting frustrating for sure
