This is the first time I've ever solved a Saturday without doing a "check puzzle!"
I've never met a Cameron who goes by RON, that one felt weird. Solvable, just odd.
Aw man, I was so close to keeping my streak. tOAST wasn't it, neither was rOAST. Can't believe I didn't think of BOAST! Maybe I should drink my coffee before doing a Thursday.
I don't enjoy when I absolutely have to read the wordplay column in order to figure out how to jam the rebuses in. Half the time I end up with a clue spoiled for me, I wish there was more separation for the difficult clue answers and just general layout/rebus hints. This is the first puzzle in a good while I just plain didn't like.
@Barry Ancona I never read Wordplay before I do the puzzle because half the time I end up getting a clue spoiled for me.
@Dvd Then why do restaurants have "lobster tail" on the menu and bring you tails of actual lobsters? I think that phrase being used for crayfish abdomens is more of a localism for you.
@joepb I did that the other day with SKIP LANE
@RozzieGrandma The Hague is home to the U.N. International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. Crimes against humanity have been prosecuted there (Gaddafi, for example, was indicted there).
@Jennifer I did the exact same thing, lol
@Bill BOA = snake. Boa constrictor
