@Emma you have to type in the word HOLE as a rebus in the all of the circled squares.
Can anyone explain why 1 across is highlighted when 32 down is clued? I don't get the connection between SARAN and ONE.
I'm sorry if someone has already explained this, I don't read all of the comments as there are far too many by the time I get here. But would someone please explain Ross Sewer in American history to me? I've googled it and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance.
@HeathieJ Just weighing in as another Heather. Other than an uncle with Down Syndrome who called me HeathersAnne (including my middle name) and now a four-year old Sunday school student who calls me Miss Feather (like a bird, he told his mom when she tried to correct him), I've never had a nickname. Embarrassed to say it took me and my husband of 33 years 2 passes and a couple of crosses to get that answer!
@Shrike I agree getting through TSA, even with Pre-Check, is a pain in the butt. That said, they do have a pretty hilarious Instagram account, and the stuff they do find, and prevent from getting on airplanes we all fly on, is crazy. It's not just one guy with a bomb in his shoe a long time ago. People are nuts. Also, their Instagram account is hilarious. It rivals Mike the Munster for puns.
I finished Wednesday's puzzle and it's correct but the site does not show it's complete and when I click on it the timer keeps going. Please fix that or tell me who to contact to do so. Thanks.
