@Eva H. For the themed answers, do you recognize these as common phrases? Though the phrases are typically used to mean other things, they are also corrections to the grammatical errors in the clues.
AREEL into LISSOME crossed with CSPOTS. Ouch. Love the theme idea, but the fill was pretty damn rough.
My favorite one of these is The La Brea Tar Pits, which translates to The The Tar Tar Pits. Fun puzzle! I had ABSFORDAYS for too long…
This was fun, it’s so rare to have gotten the three theme answers but still not get the revealer. When it finally clicked, it clicked so good! Great debut, more please!
This was a lovely puzzle. I’ve always loved words with lots of double letters. Bookkeeper is a favorite. I’m currently teaching my four year old the “oo” sound. Great debut, hope for more!
TIL - there are no Asian Flickers... That took way too long for me to FIXE. Great puzzle, Sam!
Did anyone else get ART and DER instead of ACT and DEC? Be in the picture (frame) ART - end of cal.enDER. So close to a gold star.
@sotto voce Gahhhh - it’s been a long long long day!
