Much harder than a typical Wednesday. Too much gamer slang for me. Am I going to have to become a gamer to do crosswords now? Crosswords are what I do INSTEAD of gaming.
Pity the digital solver. Don’t make us print it out and scrounge around for a pen to circle the hidden letter clues or mark which artist went with which long answer it was stolen from. I’m in bed in the middle of the night. It’s cold. I don’t want to get up. But I’ve got a 200 day streak going so I’ve GOT to. Okay maybe I’ll try using the Notes app. But then when I click on one of the artists, it shows me the longer phrase from which it was stolen. Why can’t it do the same thing the other way around? Why do I have to go searching for the artist’s name? Try to keep the process fun, okay? Btw, some lesbians are fem and some aren’t. It has nothing to do with whether they are part of a couple.
Not sure “ohfer” meets the standard of a commonly used word to be in a NYT crossword. Same goes for “posts up.” Internet searches even fail to find clear definitions.
What was supposed to happen? I solved correctly but did not get the congrats music. So I then manually retyped the rotating letters around each dial into the new positions. Still no music. Then I read in the comments something about animation. So I retyped the letters back into their original positions. That gave me the completion music, but no animation. I’m sick of gimmicks that don’t work in this service I am paying for. Please test your gimmicks before publishing them. This was not fun.
Bach never heard of an etude. They were invented in the 19th century.
