Would have been nice if the ink-saver printable version actually had the italics. I think the last three or four times a puzzle has had italics it's not been in that version. And italics wasn't mentioned in the clues anywhere, so I didn't know to look at the ink-wasting printable version. Can we get this fixed?
Grew up in the south. Saying pone is a side dish is like saying green bean or pea is a side dish. We had corn pones almost weekly growing up. Yum. Otherwise an enjoyable puzzle - fun deciding on Sleepy or Sneezy without much of the crosses done!
The ink saver version has worked with at least color and italics in the past. It seems like it's been broken for a while, though. I can usually figure out something is missing because the clues will suggest it. But in this one I didn't see anything that hinted to me to "go look at the ink-wasting pdf". I'll just keep hoping for a fix some day.
@Barry Ancona Grew up in the western part of Virginia, in coal mining country. So more hillbilly than southern, but we still had corn pones a lot. I don't work for Boeing, but instead a small software company that's spread all over the world. I just happen to like living in Seattle.
