Unpopular opinion it would seem, but Thursdays are by far my favorite solve of the week. Love the little extra puzzle within the puzzle (when it makes sense and helps me finish like today!)

Usually when I successfully gold star a Saturday, I’m very proud of myself until I read the comments saying how easy it was and the quality of puzzles have diminished to cater to the devolution of todays youth (blah blah blah). But not today! Guess playing Words With Friends for the past 15 years paid off finally!

Breezed through that for a Friday PB! It’s always fun when the long clues just snap in with little help. Though getting Zoolander off the bat helped with the entire bottom. “What is this, a puzzle for ants?!”

Love that Crying in HMart made an appearance. What a wonderful book, highly recommend for a good cry and to help find meaning in losing someone close to you from cancer.

Was stuck in the SE corner because I was convinced AnEn was the answer to 50D. Can’t get attached to my possibly wrong answers!

Did everyone’s “solve time distribution” graph get revamped? Hate that I can’t view the whole week with daily averages, current week’s and best solve time all in one bar chart. I liked being able to easily compare how I did!!

Growing up in Kalamazoo, you can’t go into a bar with a jukebox there without hearing “I got a gaaaaaal…” at least once!

Good thing the theme answers were common phrases or else I would have struggled to solve this puzzle with the lack of underlines. Still got a Thursday PB too!

@Eddie though I don’t think it’s ever been proven… it’s been discussed (and I feel this way every July/Aug) that the puzzles get easier in the summer. Perhaps since there may be younger or more casual solvers playing. No cap!
