Not a great Thursday, IMO. Finished without understanding the theme, maybe because there's nothing inherently rod shaped in the pun forming the answer to the first theme answer. You can get tricksy and still have the answers make sense.

Not a particularly difficult solve, but the theme was no help and I didn't understand it until reading about it.

This felt poorly clued today, not trickiiy clued.

36D could have been better clued.

I thought the long answers were great, but too many Naticks for me, and I didn't care for the 45D clue.

For me, cutie but really tough theme, with two crossing Naticks today. Solvable, even if you never got the theme, but I guessed at one of the Naticks.

Nice Puzzle. I thought 32A wasn't great, though.

Grid was too busy. Lost about 30 secs just trying to locate an empty square at the end

There are two pairs of answers that's both work for 92A/93D. I had to check, but I feel my stats should be corrected.
