Wow. Crossword puzzles should be challenging without being frustrating. This one fell into the frustrating category. I almost never leave a puzzle unsolved, but with about 75% of it done, I still don't get it. I'm waving the white flag.

Definitely a groaner with the jokes. I enjoyed it, though, and was tickled to see Vinnie Barbarino make an appearance. Thanks for a fun puzzle.

WOW!! Like others here I was annoyed at first by the online colors - it was hard to see which square I was in. But once I caught on to the theme, I quickly solved it. Very clever construction.

@Jay There are 2 letter Ds in the word ODD, with DEE being how D is spelled. I couldn't figure out the theme either.
