Today's crossword was the first Friday I've solved without help! I'd like to believe my brain suddenly expanded, but I suspect its a much easier puzzle than most Fridays. I'm still taking the win ! Thank you, I needed that today.

Challenging but educational! I had forgotten the poem. Miles to go before I solved!

My first finish of a Saturday <30'. I'm sure it's not a big deal for many, but it is for me. Yeah! Thank you

Good puzzle today. It always makes me chuckle when they puns are groaned. Still I had no trouble with any difficult clues but got stuck on main and desi! That's nearly always my crossword burden.

Reune? Wtheck

Yeah for Yosemite Sam!! Couldn't have done it without him.

Furthest I've ever gotten by myself on a Friday puzzle. That was fun. Thanks

I got Eiffel tower, but my science brain would NOT get the clue at all! I couldn't match any scientific name in my head with Eiffel tower. The pitfall of overeducation!

Relaxing for a Saturday & I learned ( or relearned?) a new word, concupiscent. Thanks

I almost didn't need help on this one! The "earlap"was confusing but otherwise great puzzle.

Terrific puzzle! Best I've ever done on a Thursday! THANK YOU

Thank you - that was fun, especially for a Thursday. Your comment "feel mastery over chaos, even when other areas of our lives seem out of control" is right on the money!

I could hardly believe how many clues I filled without help. Fun puzzle!

First time I've ever been able to finish a Friday with no help. It took me awhile with several breaks but very satisfying! Thanks

I was amazed I was able to solve this puzzle without help. Chiwetel really stopped me fir awhile but I was able to fill down clues. Thank you for an enjoyable puzzle.

That was great fun and quite enjoyable! Thank you... I almost got stumped on easy clue "sawred". It seems I always get stuck on simplest things!

I had to read the Wordplay to see the trick. Very clever! Thursdays are always a trial and lots of errors! Thanks

My best performance on a Friday puzzle! Of course I had a little help but I'm pleased! Thank you

Surprised by Wednesday rebus but great fun. We in south Texas are always a/c aware!

Fun crossword - kept me on my toes!

Great Wednesday puzzle! Stubbed my toe for a sec on abysm but my calculus did come in handy! Thanks

Tough one! Couldn't get it without help!

Decent puzzle for me for a Friday! Thanks

I'm astonished that I could finish this in 21' with only one clues help ! First time for me on a Friday! Thank you!

Catchy puzzle today! I was surprised by some of the answers, but once I got the gist, it went smoothly. I did get hung up on "scraps" & "ptui" but all in all a fun solve. Thanks

Well that was interesting! Thanks to stilettos I finally saw the trick. Great Sunday puzzle.

Fun puzzle today!! I needed a little help with Elihu & a few others, but i got all the hard ones! Thanks

Enjoyable Thursday puzzle! Though I do feel a bit thirsty now.

That was an enjoyable Friday puzzle! I don't usually get very far by Friday, but did pretty well by my standards. Still had to get some help but very good puzzle.

I look forward to Thursday's crossword the same as I look forward to a dentist visit. Some ease the pain, some prolong it! This puzzle was a pleasant surprise. Really enjoyed it once I got the trick. Thank you!

Didn't dissappoint for a Thursday! Tricky!

After reading the first clue i though, "Oh boy it's a Friday puzzle." Except for that part of the grid, it went very smoothly. I did need one bit if help from my wife, but I'm tickled I made it through, first Friday ever! Thanks - I needed that!

That was fun!! I am always a bit apprehensive about Thursdays. Had a rough night, so I really appreciate today's puzzle! Love Jeopardy & the NYT crossword.

I face Thursdays with a mix of enthusiasm & dread. I really enjoyed this Thursday puzzle! Thanks, i needed that!

Fun puzzle & clever too. Thanks

First Thursday puzzle i didnt want to throw my phone across the room. I didn't understand some of it, but stumbled through successfully. Thank you!

That was a very enjoyable crossword. I forgot how to spell bouillon, but the trick came to mevquicker than usual! Thank you!

Took me a bit but very enjoyable puzzle! Thank you

Enjoyable puzzle! Nice mix of cute and wth clues/answers. Thank you!

That's adorable! Congrats on design!

Great puzzle ! Really enjoyed solving this one! Thanks

Great puzzle! I must protest about "showbiz" family. Dissappointing. Not entertaining, no talent, reality "stars". IMNSHO

Funny that the bottom left was easiest for me. I never finish Friday without help, but I came close this time! Thanks

Would have taken much longer without hint at puzzle theme. Very smart & tricky! Loved it

The furthest I've gotten on my own for a Saturday puzzle. Fun clues, tricky too. Was encouraged by 17A as we are great fans of the show. No idea what S.C.L.C was... to my embarrassment! Thank you for an enjoyable run.

Great puzzle! Love the Groucho clue. But I did need help because I #84 sometimes!

Furthest I've gotten on a Sat. puzzle without help. Great work

Thanks for the tip but nothing worked on my android phone. Very dissapointing. Oh well, tomorrow is another day

Excellent puzzle! Could've possibly solved it myself if I had any patience! Bravo to creator.

That really was an enjoyable Thursday puzzle. No tricks or rebus ... just fun. Thanks!
