I may have subliminally caught a whiff of the 'L' theme before ONE L, but what a clever approach. SubLime, even. Do emus sublimate?
@Chris Yes, but this is just punning cleverness, no? That is, rack being a correct term for a pair of antlers, the missing 'w' implicitly attaches by means of the pun, am I right?
Slight quibble--not all glass thermometers contain mercury--many contain alcohol, typically dyed red. I was only familiar with Dvorak's Bohemian Rhapsody, which doesn't seem all that Mercurial to me.
@Mike You reliably get a yuck or two out of me on a daily basis! Do emus yuck or cluck?
@Bonnie I don't know the 1956 version, but the 1966 Russian production is astonishing--supposedly they used 100,000 extras in the battle scenes (seriously!) The more domestic scenes are equally stunning, and there's marvelous acting from the ingenue who plays Natasha. It was recently re-released in high definition. There are also parts III and IV, of at least an additional three or four hours from what you list.
I was nearly Naticked by Me(h)JOB and Spanish "Of Course" until it suddenly became CLARO, solving this puzzle was no MCJOB! No boring repetitions here--very clever fusions. Emus have very exacting jobs.
@Banjo Nelson CUT of steak. What are the most popular cuts of emu?
@S Godwin Yes, and Priebus may on occasion have contradicted himself, in furtherance of the EI/IE ONEEIGHTIES theme.
@Mike Truly inspired, I in-cystEIne.
