This was truly an outstanding puzzle
Record Friday time. I wish it was because I'm getting smarter, but I don't think that's the case.
Why is a B "fine" and a B+ "average"?
Thank God It's Tuesday.....
@Geoff Offermann I have one like that too. On Mark Twain's Wikipedia page there is a picture of his headstone. In the background there are several small stones; one of them is my Mom and Dad.
Doesn't Mach = Velocity/Speed of sound?
Yeah, this was a tough one. Some of the clues were quite stumper-y. It was my slowest Saturday in 2 years. Not that I'm complaining. Bring it on!
I predict this ends a streak of Fridays being harder than Saturdays
@Andrzej Please do not suspend posting. There are a few commenters who I relish their thoughts and you are at the top of the list
@Steven M. it's funny how mileage varies. Saffie, just above, gets a PR. You struggled a little bit. My Monday average, going back 4 years, is 4:47. I just kept hitting walls on this one and finished at 7:24. Felt like a Wednesday to me.
@Cat Lady Margaret "Schroderingericity". I love it. But it won't find it's way into the Spelling Bee. (It has an "s")
Tough one. Will there be more complaints today?
@Eric Hougland Yeah. Real tough. I'm looking at it for the third time and am about 1/4 filled. I don't recognize the constructor's name.
@Steve L My experience was virtually identical. It was my 3rd fastest since I started tracking 8 years ago. And about 40% faster than average. I was a little miffed at the end. It just seemed like a bit of a waste of (a very little) time.
