I think there should be a word for when you solve the crossword but miss the theme/trick.

Perfect Thursday puzzle. Capital on the Med and musical appreciation clues especially nice. And some (but not all) of the “tricks” solved by crosses. Nice work

50% easy and 50% twisty, which is a perfect Wednesday. And thank you for sharing the tribute to your neighbor. Loss is hard.

Even if you’ve filled in a Thursday puzzle, it isn’t complete till you’ve worked out the trick. Bravo, nicely done.

So many rebuses (rebi??) made it easier

Clever idea, but the clues were unusually easy for a Thursday.

I solved this without seeing or needing to see the W-D thing. And I’d say that makes it “not a Thursday”

I read the comments to find out why this was a Thursday. It would have been better as a Friday. Clever but too easy
