It is a dashing puzzle!!!

I think for International Women's Day we should celebrate our mothers, grandmothers, wives, and sisters. The crossword puzzle includes “sister,” though I wish it also had “mama,” “nana,” and “honey” among the answers. Salutations to all the ladies who make this world a better place. 🌸💐

The theme reminded me of the dilemma I faced this morning. what to have for breakfast: W(waffles) or D(donut)? I resolved it by eating Oatmeal instead.

The theme reminded me of a potential connection category for the popular connections game (in this esteemed paper) - "ingredients". For today, it would be MILK, SUGAR, VANILLA and BUTTER - the common connection of course is FUDGE

49 Down has a transliteration error. In Devanagari, it is शिव, and in IAST it is śiva. Since the New York Times does not use diacritical marks, it would be better to write it simply as shiva.

I was lucky to have solved Friday's (April 19, 2024) Wall Street Journal crossword puzzle. The 26 A clue "the city shares an airport with Pullam, Washington" helped in solving the 46 A clue "City in the Pacific Northwest with a Russian-sounding name" even with a twist!

Being a teacher for many years, this clue popped int my head: Teachers or Students in a classroom And: clueless

PCP is bad, PCB is bad. confusion between these two cost me a delay of 30 seconds. Oh well solve and learn!
