Intelligent, sophisticated concept brilliantly executed. Daunting at first but ultimately doable. A perfect Sunday puzzle. Constructed by the one and only, Hoang-Kim Vu, Superstar ✨️
Best, most entertaining grammar lesson ever!!! Congratulations on your delightful debut, boys. What a wonderful and impressive experience to share for a lifetime. Priceless.
Marshal is briliant. Best reveal ever!
While solving this puzzle I was very much aware t hat I was navigating through a pangram sea. I could see that TSWIZZLE was in IWOJIMA probably looking for Cameron DIAZ. I thought to myself, "DONTJINXIT! SNEEZY'S hanging out by I don't know how many SQUAREFEET of SUSHIPIZZA. My head was spinning! Thank you Spencer and Jem, this was exhilarating! I need a BARMENU, BBQ chips and a big squeeze of GEEWHIZ!
A most satisfying solve. The best kind when you think it's going to be impossible ... until it isn't. My only negative is ESTAR/NOR. That's my BOOP on your two noses, Enrique and Matthew, but affectionately so as your puzzle is just too good to diss in any way. What a wonderful Sunday morning!
I think it's fair to say that CrossWorld's Sam Donaldson has got his constructing chops DOWNPAT as he is able to so entertainingly CHARGEUP his expectant audience: us! I'm so glad you are the creating crosswords Sam. Politics make my head hurt. You make my heart sing.
Ok, so I finished the puzzle and then immediately started singing, "Yes, we have no bananas. We have no bananas today." My mood brightened and I began singing louder and more animatedly. Thank you Ms. Nowak for such a fun beginning to my week! And congratulations on your delightful debut!
🎵🎶 What the world needs now is more sweet songs 🎶🎶🎵 just like this entertaining, upbeat puzzle. Thanks for the LIFT, Daniel, (which takes me to "Hallelujah.) More like this, please! (If skunks could sing I pick, "Splish Splash, I'm Taking a Bath"
My favorite thing about this mushy perfectly put together Valentine's ❤️ puzzle isn't the puzzle. It's Ella's infectious Valentine's love being celebrated and shared with her new husband. It's contagious. We must all join in her efforts to make the most of the LOVE we should be feeling today. Let's all celebrate!
Rebecca and Rafael thank you for this beauty of a Saturday solve. Not only did it transport me away from all my troubles, it immersed me in your magical mix of unexpected answers and clues that just kept on giving me more and more to love. I so look forward to your next!
I had so many balls up in the air needing to drop to make sense of it all, I feared if they all fell at once I'd end up out cold on the floor. But little by little answers filled in softly and in the most satisfying way. Making this one of my favorite Saturday solves from scattered beginning to total domination at the end. Congratulations Carolyn on your most impressive debut and to you, too, Jeff, for your unselfish and magnificent mentoring. 6 You two did START OUT SMALL and ended up successfully pulling off a bit of BRAIN SURGERY and ROCKET SCIENCE. Thank you!
Well, my HORSE wasn't RESTLESS he was headless and couldn't see the WOODS at all so he followed the sound of the alluring zydeco music thinking Mardi Gras must be starting up, he but made a wrong turn along the way and ended up stuck in a snow bank somewhere in Alaska where the Iditarod was just beginning to get interesting in some real snowy WOODS where the projected winner was a chihuahua maneuvering an enormous dog team stretching all the way to Albuquerque.
Loved Trent's choice of taking us off our spinning earth and shooting us into outer space. Fun, perfectly launched Monday puzzle!
Instant classic. Emu if you only knew what an instant classic is. Well, this is a perfect example
INCOGMEATO did not throw me a BONE today. So I traveled around the grid looking for MEAT. BACONATOR. "MEATY" BONES. SHORT "RIBS." And of course, fall off fhe BONE SPARE RIBS. Can't remember when a puzzle made me drool. And to Caitlin and Matthew I enjoyed every juicy bite!
Anybody else feel like a serial failure when done with the puzzle? I always love finishing a puzzle but I could have used a lot more giggles and kicks and less repeated roadblocks and snafus. Sending happy thoughts to all!
I started out emitting EVIL LAUGHS under my breath. I mean, it's underWATER, right? Not. I stared a lot and eventually passed the SMELL TEST, even achieving more than one AHA MOMENT. In other words this wasn't a walk in the park, but a fun challenge. Happily ending with me HOME AT LAST. Nice Friday, Jacob! Thank you!
This kind of Pi is not my thing preferring apple, cherry, blueberry or peach. However I applaud Jeffrey Martinsville for his success in fitting all his theme pieces of Pi so smoothly into his mathy grid. Not a lot to eat but such juicy facts about ALBERT EINSTEIN and STEPHEN HAWKING's first and last days on this planet. What are the odds of their lives and deaths both occurring on Pi day?!
Lynn never lets us down. Emus do however.
Nate! Thank you, I'm so glad you INKY DINKY DID!
