I think this is the first Sunday I’ve solved without looking up a single thing! It took me an hour and 48 minutes, but it was fun the whole time.

116A had me for a while. I had PLANTMISTERS for way too long. As in, if you’re running a con you have a person working as a PLANT, and men are MISTERS. Never heard of a TRUSTBUSTER before but things came together once I figured out my error.

I really enjoyed this one and looking at the comments it seems I might be in the minority. I struggled the most with the SE corner but looked up fewer things than many other Saturdays. Sometimes it’s fun when it’s more on the weird side!

I had 15A as ‘win or lose’ for way to long and could not figure out what was happening. I finally had to click on the article and figured out my error. It always seems so obvious once you know 😂

Really loved this one. It took me longer than usual to parse the Thursday trick but felt so smart when it all clicked! Well done!
