As someone who grew up in Gujarat, never would I have expected to see FLYING RANEE clue in NYT Crossword of all places. So thank you constructors for this childhood throwback.

"Classic Nabisco brand (no, the other one)" Hah, that's a classic one for the regular NYT Crossword solvers. Wish you had kept that one.

I always appreciate constructors trying to innovate and putting in extra effort but this did not work for me. It was a very distracting theme. Honestly, took me a while to get going. Having said that, real committment from the constructor to fit this, admittedly tough, theme in every single clue.

@Caroline Caroline, no! Those of who us are still climbing up the curve, Mondays and Tuesdays are morale boosters, please don't take away. Also on that note, give a shot to LA Times crosswords, they are slightly tougher than NYT IMO

@Kevin D It's very simple: I before E except after C. Oh wait...

I am not very good at punny/wordplay clues but being an Indian, I'd have been very annoyed with myself if I didn't manage to solve this one. But after some initial struggle, I did manage to cross the finish line. Well done to the constructor, this was groan worthy fun.

@Heidi The only reason I know CBGB is because I've only seen it in NYT Crosswords previously. Kind of self-fulfilling prophecy.

I appreciate the efforts to put in a theme but way too convoluted for me as far as Mondays go. Too many proper nouns

@HeathieJ honestly, I am disappointed it didn't have Will Shortz cameo like Brooklyn 99 did.

I have accepted that Saturday puzzles are hard for me but oh boy this one was up a notch. CLARITA KATIE, POR FAVOR!

@Wade H per my vague recollection, it has appeared in NYT previously, in 2025 I'd think.
