As someone who grew up in Gujarat, never would I have expected to see FLYING RANEE clue in NYT Crossword of all places. So thank you constructors for this childhood throwback.

@Caroline Caroline, no! Those of who us are still climbing up the curve, Mondays and Tuesdays are morale boosters, please don't take away. Also on that note, give a shot to LA Times crosswords, they are slightly tougher than NYT IMO
I am not very good at punny/wordplay clues but being an Indian, I'd have been very annoyed with myself if I didn't manage to solve this one. But after some initial struggle, I did manage to cross the finish line. Well done to the constructor, this was groan worthy fun.
@Heidi The only reason I know CBGB is because I've only seen it in NYT Crosswords previously. Kind of self-fulfilling prophecy.
@HeathieJ honestly, I am disappointed it didn't have Will Shortz cameo like Brooklyn 99 did.
I have accepted that Saturday puzzles are hard for me but oh boy this one was up a notch. CLARITA KATIE, POR FAVOR!
